Welcome to Fitlapse! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of your personal data.

• Profile Information: Your physical attributes including body weight, sex, and fitness level.
• Workout Data: Exercises, sets, reps, weights.
• Photos: Progress photos.
• Notes: Workout or progress notes.
• User Preferences: App settings, language, etc.

Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: App interactions and session duration.

We do not collect location data. Camera access is used solely for taking photos stored locally.

Content downloads: The app periodically downloads a small file of ready-made workout plans from fitlapse.com. Like any web request, this reaches our content delivery network, whose access logs record your IP address, the time of the request and your device's user agent. We do not send any of your workout data, photos or profile information with these requests, and they are not used to identify you or to build a profile. The requests are rate limited and happen at most a few times a day.

Data Storage

Local Storage Only

• All your data (including photos, workouts, notes, and preferences) is stored locally on your device.
• No personal data is synchronized or uploaded to any server or cloud service.
• Data travels in one direction only: the app downloads ready-made workout plans from us, and never uploads your own data as part of that.
• Database files: fitlapse.db and camlapse.db.

Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase – May be used for optional analytics and crash reporting.
• Google Play Services – For app distribution and updates.

No authentication or cloud sync is currently used. Google Sign-In is not integrated at this time.

Data Security

• Encryption of local data where supported
• Secure local file storage
• Routine app security assessments
• Limited access to sensitive features
